The hotel offers a basic stay with some nice proximity to local attractions. I experienced inconsistent room cleanliness and outdated decor that could use improvement. It's suitable for families looking for a quiet getaway, but be prepared for some areas needing attention.

Just an appropriate option for getting around area in Great Yarmouth with good value for money. The small lift added an interesting touch, even though it was a bit of a hazard. Check the lift before using it, especially if you have mobility issues.

Couple with a special stay
The room was a nice surprise, spacious and filled with character, even had a kettle for tea, which was perfect after a long drive. Staff was incredibly accommodating, even brought our dog some treats without us asking, it really made the stay special.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but for what we got, it felt acceptable.

Recommend for a short stint
Comfortable beds, helpful staff, the family room was great with two single beds in an alcove and a double bed, and we enjoyed breakfast in a clean environment with free Wi-Fi.

the hotel's got so much history, and we had an amazin sea view. the location was perfect, right in the heart of yarmouth's golden mile. we really loved how friendly n helpful the staff were. breakfast was good, and the room was clean and comfy. it really added to the whole experience!
The wi-fi was super slow and made it hard to connect. the shower could've used some more hot water. it was kinda lukewarm.

Charming old-world ambiance in the lobby.
The neglected garden area was infested with rats.

Charming hotel, friendly staff, breakfast was nice and they even catered for our pet by keeping his food in their fridge as a family with children.

Our room had beautiful sea views, but the décor felt stuck in the 1980s.

Good location, but needs work
We stayed for 2 nights in a twin room. The place is comfy enough and the staff were hit or miss—some were really nice while others seemed lost. Wi-Fi was pretty limited, and the room was damp and a bit cramped. Breakfast? Just basic stuff, nothing to write home about. Good location though!

The location is fantastic, directly opposite the big wheel and just a stroll from the beach. The triple room we stayed in was spacious and allowed for our two dogs, with good amenities including a large wardrobe and comfy bedding. cleanliness was lacking. there was dust in various areas and unsightly stains in the bathroom. Breakfast, which used to be good, was disappointing this time, as we had to settle for toast due to the poor buffet quality.

missingWrote a review on Apr 19
The Double Room with Sea View impressed with an unobstructed view of the ocean, a perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee. The modern bathroom was a welcomed surprise, offering sleek fixtures that stood out against the hotel’s dated aesthetic.
Entering the place feels like stepping back in time to the 1980s, with worn carpets, old furnishings, and an overall need for a makeover. The lack of basic amenities like bar service, and breakfast options is a letdown, along with the unreliable lighting on the landing that left us fumbling for our keys with a flashlight. To add to the discomfort, the windows won’t open, leading to a stuffy atmosphere, and Wi-Fi was non-existent in the rooms despite being advertised. Little things like only one pillow case for two pillows made our sleep less than ideal, and we felt the corridors were a bit rickety underfoot. The breakfast service, though there, missed the mark with inadequate choices and cleanliness issues visible in the communal area.
